The UK Pavilion is set to be one of the ‘must see’ highlights of Expo 2020 Dubai, the largest event ever held in the Arab world. This stunning 20-metre-high cone structure will showcase British innovations set to change the world, from artificial intelligence and space technology to sustainable food and fashion. It has been designed by global brand experience specialists Avantgarde working with Es Devlin OBE, the artist behind jaw-dropping stage sets for Beyonce, Adele and the London 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony.

Visitors can immerse themselves in a musical soundscape, which captures the diversity of British culture, and contribute to a poetic ‘message to space’, inspired by the work of Professor Stephen Hawking, that will be beamed out across the Expo site. A programme of inspiring talks from some of the world’s most creative and innovative thinkers will be complimented by a best of British food and drink showcase, including Michelin Star Chefs, as well as exciting, family friendly interactive experiences and world class artistic performances.

How will we live in the future? How will humanity come together to recover from the first global pandemic of the 21st century? How can we tackle climate change and be more sustainable in everything that we do? Whether attending in person or taking part in one of the many virtual events, these are just some of the themes that will be explored as part of the programme in the UK Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

With more than 190 participating countries, Expo 2020 Dubai is a world in one place event so you can also visit a wide range of country pavilions and their visitor experiences. It is the first World Expo to be held in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region. Sited on a prime location within the Opportunity District, the UK’s participation theme is ‘Innovating for a Shared Future’.
