Having graduated from Exeter University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Rob started his career with Halliburton, where he worked for seven years involved in several oil and gas projects, the Halliburton Dresser merger and a secondment to the British Embassy in Norway. After completing his MBA, Rob joined AT Kearney as a management consultant, where he led business improvement programmes for several blue chip companies including ChevronTexaco, BP, ICI and RWE npower. Later Rob moved to Alix Partners where he was a founder member of their UK Performance Improvement Practice, delivering business improvement projects, predominantly for private equity owned businesses. Rob joined LDC in January 2008 and he works alongside portfolio management teams, pre and post-deal, to help identify and deliver business improvements that generate cash, increase operational efficiencies and drive revenue growth. Rob’s current board positions include Quantum Pharmaceutical, Emprise and L’esprit.

Maria Carradice

Having graduated from Cambridge University with a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry & Nanotechnology, Maria joined Arthur Andersen as a trainee accountant. During this time Maria advised a wide-range of pharmaceutical start-ups on tax and accounting issues. In 2002 Maria joined Deloitte LLP in London advising FTSE 100 clients on the tax and accounting issues of diverse corporate transactions, specialising in M&A, private equity, financial services, pharmaceuticals, automotive and the food & beverage sectors. Maria joined LDC in 2010 following an 18 month secondment with the business and now advises on a wide range of structuring, accounting and tax issues across the portfolio. Maria is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser and her driving ambition is to de-mystify the structuring and tax aspects of every LDC deal, from acquisition to exit.
