The cloud is a memory bank of sorts – a place where you can store all your data and programs, but not necessarily the system that’s running them. When it comes to cloud computing, there are two main types: public and private. Public clouds are third-party hosted servers that exist as shared resources for hundreds or thousands of different customers.

Managed cloud servers are a form of cloud computing that gives novices the tools necessary to run their own cloud. These servers are managed by third-party companies, which means you don’t have to worry about anything. You simply need to contact them and tell them what you want to achieve with your server, and they will make sure everything is set up correctly for you. This also means that you’re able to use their data center as well as the services they offer, depending on your needs.

Private clouds are those that are built for a single enterprise or organization. The data center is under the same roof as your business or company, but it can still be considered a cloud environment since it doesn’t have fixed boundaries.

Private Cloud

Generally speaking, public clouds offer more storage space and less individual control than private clouds do. On the other hand, private clouds are those hosted by businesses themselves on their own servers – they generally provide better stability and customer service than public ones do without the need to share resources and data with other business customers or individuals. On the surface, private clouds are exactly what they sound like – private resources that you control without having to share them with anyone else. Private clouds are hosted on dedicated hardware systems within your organization. They allow you to run programs and data on your own servers instead of having to rely on a third party for an internet-based service. Private clouds provide better stability, security, and customer service than public ones do without sharing resources or data with other businesses. A private cloud lets your company store its own information, control network traffic, customize security protocols, and monitor server activity whenever needed. But of course, there’s more to private clouds than just their ability to run on your own hardware systems. Private clouds also provide you with better security and performance than public clouds do. A new cloud computing trend that’s starting to take over the technology world is that of managed cloud hosting and managed cloud servers. Managed cloud servers are a type of private cloud where any individual who doesn’t have the knowledge or background information on server management is able to use available tools and apps to provide them with better security, performance, efficiency. Managed cloud servers also give individuals the ability to use available tools and apps to have access to better security, efficiency, and performance.

Public Cloud

When you send information to a public cloud server, it is automatically passed on to everyone else who is using that hardware system. This means that you don’t have as much privacy as you would with a private server, but there’s also a lot less maintenance involved in sending information over the internet. In contrast, private clouds are those hosted by businesses themselves on their own servers – they generally provide better stability and customer service than public ones do without the need to share resources and data with other business customers or individuals. Closing thoughts: Public and Private Cloud

Cloud computing is only taking off now (2009), but it’s already causing major upheaval in the IT world. It is the future of the computer industry. Cloud computing is a form of outsourcing that changes how we do business and plan for the next five years. Two big advantages of cloud computing:

1. Reduced risk: With traditional computing, it takes time and money to establish a new server or data center with all those cables and wiring needed for proper maintenance and security. Also, if the online service you use were to go down, you’d have to wait until you could get back up and running properly with your own computers, cabling, etc. Cloud computing can take care of all of that for you, sending data and service over the internet to your machine.

2. Better efficiency: If your company could get its full computer resources from one, huge server network in one place with all the RAM, processors, etc. in one place, it would make running your company more efficient in several ways. Plus, you’d have less risk with storage space because if something happened to one server, you wouldn’t lose all of your data.

There are several advantages to both types of cloud computing. While both are growing in popularity quickly with companies worldwide, some companies are choosing private cloud hosting while others are choosing public cloud platforms. Different companies and workers have different needs and expectations for what type of cloud computing they want. If you’re in the market for a new server, check out our server buying guide.
